U14 make the league cup final

Aspatria U14s overcame the spirited challenge of Wath Brow 13s on Sunday to progress to the League Cup Final on 11th October.

The Hornets were determined to pick up where they left off before the summer break, and they delivered a workmanlike performance to seal the victory 42-12.

George Woodcock was outstanding for Aspatria and came away with a personal tally of 18 points from 3goals and 3 tries. The other Aspatria tries came from Archie Hamilton, Anthony Hamilton x2, Aiden Nicholson, William Beverley and Charlie Robinson.

Wath Brow played some excellent rugby and were rewarded with 2 very good tries, one in either half.

Diesel Little was names as Man of the Match by the Brow coaching staff after an all-action display.

An added bonus was that, after the game, Chris Fisher, on behalf of the Cumberland Rugby League, presented the League winners Cup.

As ever, a huge thank you to all those who came to support the lads.
