More than trophies: A season to be proud of!

Thank you.

As the season comes to a close I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone associated with the club. That’s players, coaches, sponsors, parents/grandparents, committee and spectators.

Its arguably been our most sucessful season for many years with our U14 and open age teams winning their respective leagues. However sucess isn’t about winning trophies its about how the club operates. I am proud to be Chairman of the Hornets “family”.

Our open age and U14’s have already reached finals with the U13’s and 14’s still to contest a semi final. These finals can be quite tense but I would ask you all to set the highest standards.
Saturdays open age final see’s ex super league referee Gareth Hewer take the whistle and one of his linesman is 14 years old. Please show all the officials the upmost respect. Without them we don’t have a game. We have see poor standards from other clubs in the past but I’m a great believer in the Hornets setting our own high values.

Thanks again.

Mark Ridley
Chairman.
